Bending its way into the mix via the Triple White route, the adidas Predator Accelerator from the adidas x David Beckham Capsule Collection carries more than just a limited edition label. This is a boot that carries a generation of football. A representation of the game. A boot that has been remastered into a beautiful marriage of throwback feels and modern innovation.
Everything about the adidas Predator Accelerator "Triple White" makes sense. It's the boot we were all waiting for, whether we knew it or not. The return of the Predator has been campaigned hard, with many pondering the question of what a modern day Predator would look like. Well, adidas have answered in style. Damn right magnificently.
Forming one third of the adidas X David Beckham Capsule Collection along with a "Triple Black" Street and "Triple Red" Cage options, the "Triple White" Stadium boot combines a Primeknit upper with extended collar and a leather outer-layer that hosts the chunky three stripes and rubber shooting elements from the original 1998 Accelerator design. The sole-plate comes borrowed from the ACE 17+ Purecontrol.
Each colour from the David Beckham Capsule Collection not only represents the colours from the original Predator combination, but significant factors of Beckham's career. The white representing England, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.
Each edition also features a date stitched into the inside of the collar; the left Stadium boot has the date 04.14.12 along with minute 91' – selected by Beckham as the date and time he scored a long range strike for LA Galaxy against Portland Timbers. The right boot features the date 28.11.04 and 51' to mark his goal for Real Madrid against Levante. His Galaxy squad number of '23' sits on the insole.
