The Adidas X Speedflow Messi.1 "El Retorno" from 2021 is a brand new example of this extremely limited signature edition — style code GX0216. These boots made their unforgettable debut when Messi curled a trademark free kick beyond the keeper in Argentina's Copa América 2021 opener against Chile, with the tournament ending in Argentina lifting the trophy and ending a 28-year wait for a major international title, Messi named Player of the Tournament.
The X Speedflow Messi.1 features a Speedskin upper for a locked-in fit and responsive touch at high speeds, and a Speedframe outsole for explosive acceleration and the rapid changes of direction that define Messi's game.
