Released in 2022, the Nike Mercurial Air Zoom Ultra SE is one of the most revolutionary and exclusive football boots ever produced โ limited to just 1,000 pairs worldwide. First unveiled as a concept at Nikeโs Innovation Summit in New York City in February 2020, the Air Zoom Ultra took two years of development before finally dropping in an ultra-limited consumer release. This is what happens when Nikeโs design team pushes the boundaries of what a football boot can be.ย
The centrepiece of the Air Zoom Ultra SE is a full-length articulated Zoom Air strobel unit โ technology borrowed from the basketball court and adapted for football to create unprecedented underfoot sensation and explosive energy return with every stride. The Zoom Air unit is not just visible but exposed and touchable on the underside of the boot โ innovation you can see, feel, and experience with every touch. A light, translucent upper combined with Flywire midfoot lockdown keeps the boot incredibly lightweight while delivering a secure, locked-in fit.
