Electric. Vivid. Unmistakable. The Nike Mercurial Vapor IX "Bright Citrus" from 2013 is a brand new, deadstock example of the Vapor IX in the bold, vivid Bright Citrus colourway — a striking yellow-orange that was one of the most eye-catching releases in the Vapor IX range. The Vapor IX was the last of the great pre-Flyknit Mercurials — a pure, unencumbered speed boot at the absolute peak of its development before the platform shifted to knit construction.
The Mercurial Vapor IX was the pinnacle of Mercurial speed technology in 2013. The Speed Control texture synthetic upper features a micro-textured surface for enhanced grip and ball control at pace, with ACC (All Conditions Control) technology integrated for consistent touch in wet and dry conditions. The carbon fibre soleplate delivers maximum stiffness-to-weight ratio for explosive power transfer and devastating acceleration. The aggressive, minimal low-cut chassis keeps weight to an absolute minimum for pure, unencumbered speed on natural grass.
