But this boot carries an extra layer of meaning: the Phantom Luna was Nike's first football boot ever designed specifically for the female foot — a landmark moment in the history of the women's game.

Launched in 2023 ahead of the Women's World Cup, the Phantom Luna was engineered from the ground up for female biomechanics — a narrower heel, wider forefoot, and lower instep to match how women's feet are shaped and how women move on the pitch. For the tournament, Nike dressed their stars in the original "United" pack — bringing all four silos together in a single colourway for the first time, representing a new dawn in the women's game.
