The Nike Tiempo Legend IX "Montebelluna" Made In Italy from 2022 is a brand new, deadstock example of one of the most extraordinary Tiempo releases in the silo’s history — a rare, limited special edition constructed entirely in Montebelluna, Italy, the small alpine town dwarfed by the nearby Dolomites that is quietly home to some of the world’s finest expert cobblers. This is where the world’s elite players get their boots custom-made. This is the birthplace of some of Nike’s most significant boots ever produced. 

The upper is constructed from untreated natural Algeria leather — raw, unprocessed, and extraordinary — giving the boot its distinctive natural grey colour that sets it immediately apart from every other Tiempo in existence. Strong stitch lines stand out across the upper as a testament to the hand-crafting process. The trademark blue Swoosh flies from the heel down the lateral side, while the chrome/silver FG soleplate pays direct homage to the original Air Legend’s grey and silver plate — a deliberate, knowing nod to the Tiempo’s earliest heritage. At the heel: a callout to Montebelluna itself, and a small Italian flag tab marking its provenance.

Montebelluna houses only 30,000 people, but its small team of craftspeople — who live and breathe Nike — spend their days carefully constructing elite boots, often for the world’s best players. Custom quarter and three-quarter sizes are created here to ensure a perfect fit, with no last the same. When Nike says Made In Italy, this is exactly what it means.
