The Mercurial silo celebrates its 25th anniversary, and the Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX "XXV Anniversary" is a brand new, numbered example of the special edition Nike rolled out to mark the occasion — wrapped in a striking silver and chrome finish — style code FB8863-060. 1998 was a landmark year for football, underlined by the World Cup in France, which gave the game Ronaldo and the all-new Nike Mercurial. To celebrate the quarter-century mark of one of the most influential boots on the market, Nike released this special edition alongside a matching Vapor XV version. This is a limited edition drop, with just 2,500 pairs available globally, and every pair is individually numbered.
The Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX features the revolutionary Air Zoom Mercurial strobel unit — Zoom Air technology adapted for football, delivering explosive energy return and a responsive underfoot sensation with every stride. The Vaporposite+ upper combines a textured Flyknit base with a fused skin overlay for a precise, second-skin fit and maximum ball contact, while the Dynamic Fit Collar wraps the ankle seamlessly for a locked-in feel.
