Honouring the legacy of the brand’s creator, PUMA launch the King Top Dassler, a limited edition release that sees only 100 of the crisp colourway available worldwide.
Before he founded PUMA, Rudolph Dassler took on the role of laundry boy for his mother, his entrepreneurial spirit present even at a young age. Now the premium sports brand that he created honours his legacy with the King Top Dassler; one of PUMA’s most iconic silhouettes, presented in a clean white base that’s every bit as pristine as the clothes he used to deliver.
The King is simply iconic – a timeless masterpiece – and so it is the perfect piece to pay homage to PUMA’s founder. Given a special treatment and a “Puma White/New Navy/Eggnog” colourway, the King Top Dassler features a K-leather upper that boasts a silicone backing for a velvet touch, with the Formstrip riding down the side in navy, inspired by the original King Top. The “eggnog” – appropriate choice for the time of year – is used on the heel. Special laundry-style care labels and a golden shoe tag partner with that fold-over tongue to complete the limited edition look.
